The Sergeant Terrence Carraway Memorial Scholarship
Established in January 2019, the Sergeant Terrence Carraway Memorial Scholarship honors the life and legacy of Sergeant Terrence Carraway while supporting the educational advancement of local youth. This need-based scholarship is awarded annually to students from Florence County School District and Darlington County School District high schools. Scholarship funds are paid directly to the recipient’s educational institution, ensuring meaningful support for students as they pursue higher education and continue the values of service and commitment that defined Sergeant Carraway’s life.
About
This prestigious one-time scholarship is valued at $1,000.00 and will be awarded to five deserving students from Darlington and Florence High Schools.
Requirements
Must attend Florence County High Schools or Darlington County High Schools.
Applicant must be a high school senior and meet all high school requirements to graduate or have GED equivalent.
Demonstrate plans to attend an institution of higher learning, which may be a two year or a four-year college or vocational school.
Be a citizen, national, or legal permanent resident of the United States.
